Cup final winners.jpgBluebell won the Workington Sunday League Cup after a thrilling final at Borough Park.

The two teams, who are fighting out the premier Division title race, served-up an entertaining contest which went Bluebell’s way 3-1.

Greg Quayle (pictured scoring the opener), Gary Connolly and Gavin Martin notched the Bluebell goals with Tony Berwick netting Northside’s goal.

In the Premier Division Bluebell lead Northside by a point and one of their four remaining games is the potential decider between the pair of them.

PETER BRATLEY was at the final for us and as well as the picture of Quayle’s opener and the triumphant Bluebell squad, he also snapped a fine, flying save by the Bluebell keeper.

There were also two games in League One in which Broughton are still looking for the win which would make certain of the title.

They were well beaten 6-2 by Yankees, the only team that can catch them if they win their remaining four games and Broughton fail to register a win from their final fixture.
